The Audacity of Capitalism II

Senator McCain-

First, thank you for your service to our country, both in uniform and in the Senate. You have in front of you a golden opportunity to distinguish yourself from your opponent and to reveal the difference between free-market capitalism and incremental socialism. A bail-out of any kind only serves to reward those who have 'cheated' the market by circumventing its natural forces by use of government intervention. Government tampering has caused this mess, please don't empower government any further to fix it. It can't, period. A bail-out will be a band-aid and will only exacerbate the problem. Leave this problem to be 'fixed' by the free-market. Empower the market by unfettering it from oppressive government regulation. Mainly, propose to repeal Sarbanes-Oxley, act to utilize our own energy sources, cut capital gains and corporate tax rates and call for investigations into the abuses at Freddie and Fannie to ensure that those who have exploited the free market are exposed. Do so and watch the market flourish and watch the American people sweep you into office in a landslide.

Very truly yours,

Kevin L. Hall
